Who We Are
We are 88 Talented children (aged 9-16) who love choral singing and are choristers of our respective primary school choirs in the picturesque Garden Route of South Africa.
Since our founding, in 1996, we have performed with some of the best choirs in the world and have been featured on South African radio and TV programmes on a regular basis!

As one of South Africa's foremost amateur regional children's choirs, our members have been carefully auditioned and selected from primary and secondary schools from George, Knysna, Oudtshoorn and Mossel Bay, and are dedicated to being musical ambassadors of the Southern Cape region!
We rehearse every Friday (approximately 105 hrs per year), 3 Saturdays, and at least 9 days during school holidays, in George, under the baton of musical director, Jan-Erik Swart and a team of dedicated voice coaches, trainers, management members and parents.
Our singing is vibrant, clear and stirring, with a musical discipline extending far beyond our ages.
We are a non-profit entity, supported by a voluntary parents' advisory body which strives to invest in our children’s vocal development and to provide the best musical experiences available.
Since our founding in 1996, we have received critical acclaim from a wide range of choral specialists and practitioners, from as far afield as Finland, Germany and the USA.
We have undertaken 5 concert tours of Europe (1998, 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2011) and have qualified to compete in the 8th IFCM Choral World Games, in July 2014!
We have recorded 8 cds and one dvd.
We are proud exponents of South African multicultural transformation in choral music.
The SCCC has received several accolades for exceptional performances throughout its existence. In 2013 we were awarded the prestigious KKNK Kanna prize for best musical production with Chris Chameleon's production of Ramirez' Misa Creolla and Dreams.
In 2010 we won the ATKV Animato international choral competition finals, held at UNISA, Pretoria, and have been national runners-up in 2008, 2009 and 2012.
We have been privileged to have performed in the Cologne and Antwerp Cathedrals, as well as the recently-renovated 1200-year-old Aachen Cathedral, where we performed a joint-concert with the Aachen Cathedral Choir in view of the golden burial sarcophagus of Charlemagne the Great!
We perform between 20-30 times per year, and are taking South Africa by storm with our "fresh, natural choral sound" and "dynamic musical energy!"
